MARIO BALOTELLI can have as many cigarettes as he wants, but Roberto Mancini says there is no smoking gun aimed at the maverick striker.
Mario Balotelli, Man City's Striker
Balotelli was upset over not even making the bench for Manchester City’s Champions League clash against Real Madrid in the Bernabeu on Tuesday.
But yesterday Mancini dismissed suggestions it was punishment for another alleged late night out by a player who makes no secret he likes a smoke and a party in his spare time – although he does not touch alcohol.
Mancini said: “Smoking? No, no; it is not my problem. If Mario wants to smoke, it is his problem. If he wants my opinion, it is better that he quits. But if he smokes 10 cigarettes a day and scores two goals every game, then that’s better.”
