Inaonekana watu wameanza kuonea huruma mpiganaji wao Nelson Mandela maarufu kama Madiba baada ya kuendelea kuugua mapafu kwa muda mrefu. Baadhi ya wananchi katika mitaa mbalimbali ya Afrika ya Kusini wameanza kusikika wakitamka maneno ya kuonesha kwamba wanamuaga Raisi Huyo wa kwanza mweusi na mpiganaji dhidi ya ubaguzi wa rangi nchini humo.
"Mandela ni mzee sana na kwa umri wake, maisha siyo mazuri. Namuomba Mungu amchukue sasa. Ni bora aende. Ni bora akapumzike" Alisikika Ida Mashego, mfanya usafi wa ofisini mwenye umri wa miaka kama 60 hivi huko Johannesburg.

Nelson Mandela 'critical' in South Africa hospital
Nelson Mandela’s condition described as critical for the first time, two weeks after he was admitted to hospital with a lung infection.
President Jacob Zuma visited Mr Mandela’s doctors and wife Graca Machel, and said that the former president’s health had deteriorated over the past 24 hours.
He said his doctors were still “doing everything possible” to try to improve his situation.
The announcement late on Sunday night was the first time the 94-year-old former president’s condition has been described so seriously since he was admitted to hospital on June 8 for a recurring lung infection.
His condition had previously been described as “serious but stable”. Comments last week from Mandela family members and his presidential successor, Thabo Mbeki, had suggested Mr Mandela’s health was improving.
However, the announcement of the downturn sparked deep concern among South Africans that the end could be drawing near for the country’s first black president, who led the country from apartheid to democracy 20 years ago.
“The doctors are doing everything possible to get his condition to improve and are ensuring that Madiba is well-looked after and is comfortable. He is in good hands,” Mr Zuma said in a statement, referring to Mr Mandela by his clan name.
He appealed for the nation and the rest of the world to pray for Mr Mandela, whose last public appearance was at the 2010 World Cup in South Africa.
Mr Mandela is understood to have become increasingly weak and unresponsive and his family have been told to prepare for the worst.
The 94-year-old’s wife, Graca Machel, has kept a constant vigil at her husband’s bedside, sleeping frequently in a nearby room at Pretoria’s Heart Hospital.
On Sunday, she was joined by other members of Mr Mandela’s large family including his former wife Winnie, his daughter Makaziwe and granddaughter Ndileka.
Outside the hospital, a bank of flowers, cards and balloons wishing the former president well have built up.
Addressing the country’s first black president as “Tata”, or “Father”, one read: “You are stronger than anything. I am what I am today because of you. From Karabo Chilwane and Magret Moila in Limpopo.”
Mr Zuma added in his statement that there was “no truth” in an earlier report that Mr Mandela, who is due to turn 95 in a matter of weeks, had suffered a heart attack when he was first admitted to hospital in the early hours of Saturday June 8.
It emerged over the weekend that a military ambulance transporting the Nobel laureate broke down on the motorway between Johannesburg and Pretoria, leaving him and his sizeable medical team waiting 40 minutes for a replacement in the winter night.
Mr Zuma said that “all care” had been taken to ensure his medical condition was “not compromised”.
“There were seven doctors in the convoy who were in full control of the situation throughout the period. He had expert medical care. The fully equipped military Intensive Care Unit ambulance had a full complement of specialist medical staff including intensive care specialists and ICU nurses,” he said.
Mr Mandela is almost universally adored by South Africans of all ages and races for leading the country out of apartheid and bringing warring factions together ahead of the country’s first democratic elections in 1994.
On Sunday night the news of his deteriorating health was met with deep sadness coupled with a sense of resignation that has grown with each of Mr Mandela’s three hospital admissions this year.
“South Africa has a heavy heart tonight,” wrote one of his countrymen on Twitter.
“Going to sleep with a heavy heart. Feeling so emotional about Mandela. Didn’t expect to feel quite so broken,” another wrote.
Ranjeni Munusamy, a newspaper editor, added: “I finally know what to pray for: that he is not in pain and can feel our love. That’s all we can ask for now.”
Barack Obama, the US President, is due to arrive in South Africa with his family on Friday night for his first major visit to the continent since taking office.
The possibility of a meeting between the first black presidents of both South Africa and the United States has been eagerly awaited for years, but the White House said at the weekend that Mr Obama would defer to Nelson Mandela’s family on whether he would visit him.
“Ultimately, we want whatever is in the best interests of his health and the peace of mind of the Mandela family,” said Ben Rhodes, a deputy US national security advisor. “We will be in touch with them. If he has an opportunity to see the family in some capacity, that’s certainly something that we may do.”

Italy 4-3 Japan: Giovinco settles all-time

An incredible clash at the Itaipava Arena Pernambuco saw Italy book their place in the Confederations Cup semi-finals with a 4-3 defeat of Japan, who were eliminated from the tournament in heartbreaking fashion. Needing a draw to stand a chance of making the last four, Alberto Zaccheroni's men got off to an incredible start, racing into a two-goal lead through Keisuke Honda's penalty and Shinji Kagawa's neat finish. But a spectacular 11-minute turnaround either side of half-time saw Italy score thrice to retake the lead, through Daniele De Rossi's header, Atsuto Uchida's own goal and Mario Balotelli's spot kick. Shinji Okazaki then drew Japan level with 21 minutes remaining, but despite a late rally by the Samurai Blue, they were finished for good with four minutes remaining by Sebastian Giovinco's strike, as Italy join Brazil as Group A's representatives in the last four. Cesare Prandelli made two changes to the side that beat Mexico 2-1 Sunday, with Christian Maggio and Alberto Aquilani coming in for Ignazio Abate and Claudio Marchisio, while Japan saw Ryoichi Maeda return to lead the line. And the Jubilo Iwata forward could have made an instant impact after only five minutes, but did not direct his header well from Kagawa’s inch-perfect cross, as Gianluigi Buffon saved comfortably.
Zaccheroni’s men were the brighter side throughout the opening exchanges, and with 20 minutes on the clock, were handed the chance to take the lead when Buffon conceded a penalty after upending Okazaki inside the area. The keeper escaped with only a yellow card, but was powerless to stop Honda’slow strike to the bottom right corner from 12 yards, despite guessing correctly. Balotelli was then incredulous that he was denied a penalty of his own after tussling with Maya Yoshida, but in truth, it was an unlikely claim for an increasingly desperate Italy, who were struggling to match the intensity of Japan. And with just over half an hour gone, the Samurai Blue made their superiority count once again. Italy failed to clear a ball into the box, and Kagawawas quickly on it, planting a fine half-volley into the corner.
In fact, Honda could have made it 3-0 moments later from a free-kick, but Buffon was on hand this time to make a smart double save to keep the deficit at two. Italy finally began to wake up as the half neared its end, and it was Andrea Pirlo, as ever, leading their revival, coming close with a wicked free-kick that whistled just over the top. But the Juventus midfielder was deadly accurate with his delivery from a corner in the 41st minute, picking out De Rossiat the near post and the Roma star thumped home with his head.
Japan were stunned, and nearly capitulated at the end of the half when Emanuele Giaccherini’s bit of trickery saw him evade his marker but crash the ball off the frame of the goal. But their resistance lasted little more than five minutes after the restart, as Giaccherini’s pass across the face of goal to Balotelli was reached first by Uchida, who ended up turning the ball into his own net. And two minutes later, it got even more painful for Japan, when Makoto Hasebe conceded a penalty for an extremely harsh handball call, from which Balotelli, as ever, converted coolly from the spot to put Italy in front for the first time. Eiji Kawashima was then called into action twice in quick succession to deny Giovinco and De Rossi, and his efforts were rewarded at the other end in the 69th minute, when Okazakiheaded home from Yasuhito Endo’s free kick. But not for the first time, Japan were left cursing their luck when an almighty scramble inside the box saw Okazaki hit the post, before Kagawa's headed follow-up bounced off the floor and smacked off the crossbar. And in the 86th minute, just when Zaccheroni's men looked like stealing the winner, Italy put the game to bed when De Rossi released Marchisio, who in turn squared for Giovincoto stab high into the back of the net. Yoshida then had a goal disallowed for offside, and Buffon was forced to tip away from Honda as Japan fought or their lives, but time was no longer on their side as the final whistle signalled the end of their campaign.

Minister of State in the President’s Office for Social Relations and Coordination, Steven Wassira has asked the Chairman of Chadema, Freeman Mbowe to disclose the name of the person behind the Saturday bombing at the party’s campaign rally at Soweto grounds in Arusha.
Wassira made the call following accusatory statements made by Mbowe on Monday who indirectly labelled the government and the ruling party CCM of being behind the bomb blast. So far three people have died and scores injured by the bombing.
Speaking in the morning TV programme “Jambo” aired by the national television (TBC), Wassira said no one is permitted to kill another, hence Mbowe must disclose the name of the person who organised the attack on behalf of the government since he was quoted saying that he knew the persons behind the blast.
Recently Mbowe told reporters in Arusha that he and other Chadema leaders who were in the campaign were targeted in the blast.
“We have information showing that Mbowe was not in the main forum when the bomb went off so why would he allege that the bomb was targeting him?” wondered Wassira.
Adding: “How is Mbowe a threat to the extent of prompting this government to resort to kill him? He is not a threat either to the government or the national security.”
“We should not take advantage of a tragedy like this to earn political popularity … however; it is the right time to find the root of the problem,” he said, insisting that peace keeping is the responsibility of everyone including political parties and must be maintained.
On his part, President appointed lawmaker James Mbatia was of the view that the nation should not accept the tendency of such events, “it is better for all people to come together in a forum for discussion and stop issuing statements that do not offer any solution to the problem.”

Manchester United’s owners, the Glazer family, are prepared to hand David Moyes a £60 million transfer kitty this summer in order to allow Sir Alex Ferguson’s successor to stamp his personality on the Old Trafford squad.
Moyes is due to return from a family holiday a week on Monday and it is understood that the Scot will then embark on securing his leading transfer targets ahead of the club’s three-week tour of the Far East and Australia, which begins with a friendly against a Singha All-Star XI in Bangkok on July 13.
Moyes is expected to recruit at least three new signings. Everton defender Leighton Baines, Barcelona midfielders Cesc FÃ bregas and Thiago Alcantara and Borussia Dortmund forward Robert Lewandowski have all been identified by the club as targets, although interest in Everton midfielder Marouane Fellaini has cooled because of his £23 million buy-out clause. United will also be among the interested parties in Gareth Bale should Tottenham be willing to sell the Wales international.
It is unlikely the money will be used to fund a move for former United star Cristiano Ronaldo, although the club will continue to monitor the situation should the Portuguese forward ask to leave Real Madrid this summer. The £80 million fee United received for Ronaldo in 2009 and some prudent summer spending in recent years are part of the reason why United have money to spend now.
The expected departures of Nani and Anderson, and potentially French full-back Patrice Evra, could increase Moyes’s spending power still further, although the £60 million United have earmarked this year is already in excess of anything Ferguson was given in his 26-year reign as manager.
Last summer Ferguson persuaded the Glazers to agree to the £24 million purchase of Robin van Persie from Arsenal and the £17 million signing of Shinji Kagawa from Borussia Dortmund. They also came close to the £30 million signing of Brazil international Lucas Moura, before a late swoop by Paris St-Germain. It is thought that £30 million may have been rolled forward as part of this summer’s transfer kitty.
With both Van Persie and Kagawa playing key roles in United’s successful Premier League campaign last season, when the team delivered the club’s 20th league title, the Glazers are seeing the virtue of spending on the pitch, especially with domestic rivals Manchester City,Chelsea and Arsenal all shaping up to spend heavily.
The January signing of Wilfried Zaha from Crystal Palace for £12 million, prior to him being loaned back to the Selhurst Park club, will not impact on Moyes’s £60 million fund.
Although United still have a debt standing in the region of £370 million, the club’s accelerated commercial growth has enabled the Glazers to comfortably meet interest payments on their loans. The financial position has also been buoyed by the world record £53 million-a-year shirt sponsorship deal with Chevrolet owners, General Motors agreed last July – which begins in the summer of 2014 – and a £180 million partnership with Aon for the naming rights of the club’s Carrington training ground. United are also expected to negotiate a kit manufacturing deal with Nike in the next six months that could be worth some £600 million.

Mandela spent his 10th day in the hospital Monday for a recurring lung infection.
President Jacob Zuma said Sunday that Mandela remains in serious condition but that his doctors are seeing sustained improvements. Zuma said Mandela is engaging with family during visits.
Graca Machel, Mandela's wife, in a written message Monday expressed the family's gratitude for messages of support, in particular from children singing outside the Mandela home.
The leader of South Africa's anti-apartheid movement, Mandela spent 27 years in prison during white racist rule. He was freed in 1990 and became South Africa's first black president in 1994.

NEW YORK - Jay-Z is teaming up with Samsung to release his new album, unveiling a three-minute commercial during the NBA Finals on Sunday and announcing a deal that will give the music to 1 million users of Galaxy mobile phones.
The new album, called "Magna Carta Holy Grail," will be free for the first 1 million android phone owners who download an app for the album. Those who do so will get the album on July 4, three days before its official release, according to a Sunday statement.
Samsung is a leader in the mobile phone market and has been steadily chipping away at Apple's share of the market with its Galaxy phones. The deal with Jay-Z is yet another example of how mobile companies are using music to lure new consumers.

Cheeseburger Restaurant Calls Cops on Busta Rhymes After Disturbance
Busta Rhymes allegedly wasn't too happy about waiting on line during a recent pit stop. The Hip Hop star, real name Trevor Smith, reportedly stormed a Cheeseburger Baby recently with his posse and wanted to get serve right away.
"He got very upset when we wouldn't take his order first when he was the last one to come in," owner Stephanie Vitori told the Miami New Times. "We treat everyone as equals here at Cbb. You can't skip the line of 10 people waiting in front of you."
Someone from his camp is said to have waited in line to take the order, but it wasn't over there. After receiving his meal, Busta allegedly returned to the store to complain about the food.
Vitori adds: "He came back in the restaurant and started becoming outwardly angry. He was calling our delivery driver Santiago a f** multiple times, and me a b**ch and (telling) me to 'shut the f**k up' because we put his salt, pepper, ketchup, and mayo - that he asked for - on the side...""He caused such a scene I was forced to call the cops on him. This is when he exited the restaurant... I deal with drunk and disorderly people all the time. I have been doing this for 11 years, but never in my life have I felt more disrespected as a business owner or woman."
Miami Beach police were called to the restaurant, but Busta had already fled the scene. A police report was filed by Vitori.

Barcelona's El Periodico newspaper says the attorney involved has told it that Messi and his father Jorge deliberately hid commercial revenues from the Spanish authorities from 2006 through to 2009 by channelling the income through front companies in tax havens.
The paper reports the amount owed as €13 million, though other media has the figure being sought by the authorities as €4 million.
The paper quotes its source as saying the alleged tax dodge "consisted of simulating the assignment of image rights to front companies based in tax havens [Belize, Uruguay] and, at the same time, formalising contracts of licensing, agency or benefit from services between these companies, and other such instruments domiciled in convenient jurisdictions [the UK, Switzerland].
This was done with the intended and successful aim that the incomes would move from countries where the companies or entities were based, to companies domiciled in tax havens, without being submitted to any taxation and, furthermore, with total opacity towards the Spanish Tax Authorities. The beneficiary of these incomes was no other than the person served - Lionel A. Messi."
